Tracearr
Media Monitoring
Tracearr is a comprehensive media monitoring solution that tracks streams, user activity, and policy violations in your media server.
Configuration​
Tracearr connects to Homarr via its URL and an API key. The API key is sent using the X-Api-Key header.
Finding your API Key​
- Open Tracearr and navigate to Settings → API.
- Click Generate API Key (or copy an existing key).
- Copy the key and paste it into the Homarr integration configuration.
Test Connection​
When adding the integration, Homarr will validate connectivity and confirm that your API key has the required permissions.

Steps to retrieve the credentials:
- In Tracearr, go to Settings → API and generate or copy your API key.
Widget​
The Tracearr widget provides a real-time monitoring dashboard for your media server activity.
Sections​
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Stats Bar | Displays Active Streams, Total Users, Transcode Count, and Total Bandwidth at a glance. |
| Active Streams | Shows currently playing media with poster art, user info, progress bar, resolution, and transcoding status (Direct Play or Transcode). |
| Recent Activity | A paginated list of watching history with user avatars and watched status. |
| Violations | Alerts for policy violations (e.g., concurrent stream limits) with severity levels. |
Widget Options​
Each section can be independently toggled on or off:
